FLOODGATE (2022)

“In FLOODGATE, I scanned each of my hands, and in photoshop applied a skin texture from that of an elderly woman’s. The resulting large-scale photographic print was then installed into an antique victorian-era screen door. Here I contemplate time, my familial history, and the concept of inaccessible memory. With the untimely passing of a loved comes the grim reality of stories and moments lost to time, and history rendered ever more mysterious.”
